Job Overview
The Factory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of the
water plant, from raw material intake to bottling, packaging, and dispatch. The ideal candidate
will ensure optimal performance, maintain strict quality and hygiene standards, manage teams,
reduce downtime, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production and operational activities.
- Ensure consistent production of high-quality water that meets regulatory and safety standards (e.g., NAFDAC, SON).
- Monitor and maintain production schedules, equipment functionality, and raw material availability.
- Manage factory staff, including operators, quality control personnel, maintenance teams, and logistics staff.
- Drive continuous improvement in production processes, plant efficiency, and cost management.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hygiene, safety, and quality control.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and ensure minimal production downtime.
- Prepare regular production reports, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements.
- Liaise with the supply chain, procurement, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure end-to-end coordination.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Food Science, Production Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water or beverage manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment systems, bottling lines, and packaging operations.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic production software/tools.
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail.
