Job Overview
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning,
coordination, and supervision of all food and beverage operations within the establishment. This
includes restaurants, lounges, or catering units. The ideal candidate will manage staff, ensure
exceptional service delivery, control costs, and maintain high standards of food safety and
hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of all food and beverage outlets (restaurant, lounge, café, catering, etc.).
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff to ensure outstanding customer service.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety regulations (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, HACCP).
- Monitor inventory, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely procurement of stock.
- Plan menus in coordination with chefs and ensure variety, quality, and profitability.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
- Track and manage operational budgets, sales performance, and cost control measures.
- Plan and execute special events, promotions, and seasonal offerings.
- Ensure cleanliness, ambience, and customer satisfaction are consistently top-notch.
- Generate regular performance reports for management and propose improvement strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a hotel, lounge, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, kitchen operations, and guest service standards. management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Financial acumen and experience managing budgets, costs, and revenue targets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP, or Hospitality Management) are an added advantage.
