Job Title: Account Officer

Job Overview

The Baker will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of products such as bread, rolls, cakes, pies, and pastries in accordance with recipes and quality standards. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, consistent, and skilled in using baking equipment and techniques to deliver high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, mix, knead, proof, and bake a wide range of baked goods following standard recipes and procedures.
  • Ensure proper measurement of ingredients and control of oven temperatures and baking times.
  • Monitor baking processes to ensure consistent texture, taste, and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with health and safety regulations (e.g., NAFDAC, HACCP).
  • Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and dough dividers.
  • Package finished products and ensure appropriate labeling and storage.
  • Assist with inventory checks and notify management of shortages in ingredients or supplies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to fulfil customer orders and meet daily production targets.
  • Stay updated on new baking trends and techniques to contribute to product development.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of SSCE, OND, or vocational training in Baking, Culinary Arts, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of practical experience in a bakery, restaurant, hotel, or food production environment.
  • Proven skill in baking bread, pastries, or cakes from scratch.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to work early shifts, weekends, and under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Creative flair and attention to detail in presentation and flavour.
