Job Title: I.T. Manager

Job Overview

The I.T. Manager will be responsible for overseeing all technology-related activities across the organisation, including systems administration, network security, infrastructure management, software implementation, and user support. The ideal candidate should combine strong technical expertise with strategic vision to ensure that IT supports the organisation’s growth and efficiency goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of all I.T. systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
  • Ensure uptime, data security, and business continuity through effective system backups and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage the deployment and troubleshooting of enterprise applications (e.g., core banking software, ERP, POS, PMS).
  • Lead the development and implementation of I.T. policies, SOPs, and data protection strategies.
  • Supervise I.T. team members and coordinate helpdesk support for staff across all business units.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement of I.T. assets and services.
  • Ensure cybersecurity protocols are in place and staff are educated on digital safety practices.
  • Support digital transformation efforts and recommend upgrades or new systems to improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory I.T. standards, including CBN (for financial institutions), NDPR, and global best practices.
  • Maintain documentation of I.T. systems, licenses, user access logs, and audit trails.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, ITIL, PMP, CISA, Microsoft Certified, AWS) are strong advantages.
  • 5–7 years of I.T. experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, networks, data security, and enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of server administration, virtualisation, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting I.T. in a multi-branch, multi-service organisation is an added advantage.
