Job Title:Food & Beverage Supervisor

Job Overview

The Food & Beverage Supervisor will assist in managing restaurant, café, or lounge operations, coordinate staff activities, ensure high service standards, and support management in achievingcustomer satisfaction and business goals. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, people- oriented, and committed to upholding food safety and hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily operations of the food and beverage section (restaurant, lounge, etc.).
  • Coordinate, schedule, and monitor the activities of service staff (waiters, bartenders, stewards, etc.).
  • Ensure guests receive excellent service in a timely, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Monitor cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of dining areas and service stations.
  • Assist with inventory control and requisition of food and beverage items.
  • Enforce hygiene, food safety, and health regulations (NAFDAC, HACCP, etc.).
  • Train and onboard new team members and support ongoing staff development.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints promptly, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Support menu rollout, promotions, and special events.
  • Prepare shift reports and provide updates to the Food & Beverage Manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of an OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a restaurant, lounge, hotel, or food services operation.
  • Strong knowledge of food service procedures, hospitality standards, and customer service.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and work flexible hours.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and basic inventory tools.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe) is a plus.
